Direction After Assassination Attempt on Trump

Since the days of the judges, God’s people have tended to place their hope in a human king instead of trusting in God. While our nation spirals into violence and vengeance, it is crucial that we distinguish ourselves as those who carry peace wherever we go. Our peace comes as a gift from our Savior, who took upon himself the evil of the world and then raised to life in victory. As we receive Jesus’ peace through the filling of the Spirit, we don’t deny or ignore the events of the world. But we walk with a peace that transcends the turmoil. This peace enables us to offer a distinct message of forgiveness, even to those who rage against us. In Christ, we live as priests through the chaos, offering reconciliation and the revelation of a higher King to a world hungry for hope.
