Follow God’s Voice

God often brings us through a hurricane of crisis to reveal the voices we listen to. Every voice carries a power, like the power of nature, the power of family, and the power of visible evidence. But God is training us to know his superior power—to hear and heed his voice above all. The practice of hearing God’s voice brings us past mere principles into true intimacy with Jesus. Israel was offered the opportunity to have intimacy with God, but because they stayed at a distance in fear, the Lord gave them the law. This is why God appointed Aaron and Moses as mediators, until Christ came to bring us into intimacy with the Father. Now, as his sheep, we all have the privilege of hearing his voice and following him.
