The heavens declare the glory of God. And the heavens are showing us that God is moving the church into the “kingdom age.” God will pour out his Spirit on all flesh, and Jesus is bringing his bride into full maturity in preparation for the final wedding feast. As we mature, love will mark us more than anything else—and especially our love for one another (Col. 3:14). God will mark this age with a great harvest and revivals that sweep over the earth. Until then, we groan as we wait eagerly for this fresh age of fullness and maturity (Rom. 8:23). For our community, Emily shared three specific applications for the kingdom age: (1) we are his groundbreaking remanant; (2) we are his wilderness company; (3) we are priests after the order of Melchizedek. To steward this calling, humility is key. Through humility, we provide a resting place for God’s glory to rest.
