Meet Jesus Through Vulnerability

From the start, God wanted humanity to spread his goodness into the chaos through vulnerability. Adam and Eve were meant to be naked and unashamed, with nothing between them and God. When they sinned, they hid themselves in shame. Though God covered them with sacrifice, they continued to build walls of self-protection. God showed the way back to freedom in Jacob's dream of a ladder. Relationship would come through rest, not through striving. Our desire as a community is to answer God's call into vulnerability through Jesus, who gives a covering sacrifice to all who rest in him. Through his finished work, at last, we can worship in spirit and truth, with nothing hidden between us and God.
