Returning to the Garden

The river of God flows from the mount, where God’s presence dwells, making glad those who draw near. Jesus made us to be good trees that are planted near the river—ever green, bearing fruit in season. Though Satan tries to distance us from God’s design and curse our story, Jesus intends to bring us back to where we belong: the garden of Eden, the holy mount of God. You may have heard that Christians weren’t born to live on a mountain. But in a way, Jesus does want us to live on the mountain. By abiding in him, we can begin dreaming again and keeping our minds on the things of heaven.
